Lotus stage 3 exhaust system, induction kit, ecu remap with cam switch-over at lower revs. All without invalidating the warranty.
They seem a little confused about the details.

I enquired at HKS re the “stage 3” exhaust and was greeted with silence…
Read the thread on Elisetalk, and confusion reigns about what is on offer. I would be very surprised if Lotus came out with an ECU reflash which lowered the cam change over - it would be tantamount to admitting they got the ECU wrong in the first place, and everything I have read about the Yota engine suggests there is little to be gained in lowering the change over anyway. I would like to be proved wrong though

I think Toyota set the cam change point very high to make it feel impressive. Lotus felt it was excessive and lowered it a bit, but my impression is that they could have gone further, but they wanted to leave a little bit of that wow factor. The surge as it switches feels quite strong to me, I suspect dropping it a couple of hundred revs would improve performance a little.
It it could be lowered by, say, 4 to 5 hundred rpm with a gain in power over the affected rev range it would make a big difference to drivability, especially on track. I would be very interested, but just can’t see Lotus offering this, just like the mythical after market SC conversion which never materialised. Unsurprisingly they seem far more interested in flogging new cars like the S than enabling existing owners to upgrade their cars.

Oh the kits out there it just costs over 10k

Check out www.moremonkey.com for Jamie and Ronin S/C…also a no learn ECU 5750rpm cam change so any mods are not over turned by the stock ECU…
Can i at this point just add that simply ‘lowering the cam change’ will have absolutely no effect on the car, except maybe premature valvetrain wear? Its the same principle as on the Honda VTEC engine.
The fuelling needs to be altered to suit. If you switch to the lairy cam lobes @ ~6000rpm without additional fuelling/ignition it will simply make a load of noise.
HTH
lowering the cam switchover and the timing will however have an effect.
