Does a de-cat invalidate your warranty?

I’m just about to fit a Moto-build silenced de-cat pipe. I wondered if it would invalidate the Lotus warranty on the car, or even an extended warranty. Any thoughts?For those that have done it, any problems with the fitting (I understand the nuts on the Cat can get overly hot and stick)?I’m expecting a cleaner pick-up, am I going to be happy with the difference?Cheers, Ian [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]

It probably will invalidate it.But then I reckon Warranty Holdings would invalidate your warranty for anything given the chance…
