Your opinions please. It could get very messy if a S3 comes out. We may need to befriend S2 owners now before it’s to late, we don’t yet know which “trade” S3 owners will be working in. Lets think ahead, lets think smart.

Sounds a bit harse fluffy. I’ve got an S2 (as you know) but I’ve got nowt but respect for S1s. I think they’ve got oodles more character than the S2. If I hadn’t spent years mucking about with Caterham K series (it never broke mind you) I’d have bought one - I just fancied a change

When people have the car, they usually never accept the better side of other cars. I currently have neither so I am neutral. The S2 beats the S1 when both stock in acceleration and top speed. It also seems better designed for down force, cornering, and keeping the engine cool. However, by looks neither is better by fact. It is just opinion so it is not needed to be brought up. Personally, I like the S2 headlights and rear bumper more but the S1 rear is nice too.The one thing about all S2 is it is harder to see through the rear view mirror but then again, race cars dont have one at all. The real downside of the S2 is many have blocked roof scoops which ruins the looks of the car when close up.
Your point was put across very well. No one car is better than another. They are both good, sorry… great in different ways.

The only reason S1 owners take the mickey out of S2s is that they all wanted to want one and were disappointed when the S2 appeared and didn’t really do much for them dynamically. It was just too close to the 111R.
Not sure I completely agree with you though Mr red_mazda_mx6. I think the S1 corners faster (even with inferior suspension), has twice the downforce, and may have better in gear acceleration (ie. real world).

So did a lot of S1 owners go to where the grass seemed green and found it was infact brown???
They found that rather than being grass, it was in fact Astroturf!
