I think i am due some new discs before this years track day fun begins. My car is currently running the Pagid RS14 (Black) pads. I was very happy with these on the only track day so far with this car. The braking was a marked improvement over the single piece 308’s with ferodo pads. Now i know the pad of choice on here is the PF 01 so i would be comfortable trying these with the new discs as well.
My question is though about disc wear rate. Which of these pads wears through the discs quicker.
PF wears more on disc in my experience.
PF01 gives performance but one has to take the wear on the disc and the wheel as the dust is hot.
Function over form. Racing performance doesn’t care about the cosmetics. If you want both then opt for a less aggressive pad.
I dont have a problem with the dust or the initial excessive dust from the PF. I am suprized though you reckon the PF’s will use up the discs faster than the Pagids, i seem to remember reading somewhere ( thought on here ) that the PF was kinder on discs.
PF pads work best with PF discs.
I’d probably go 08 compound now if you were running standard calipers or 01 if you have the BBK
If you have AP disc and bell set up then the PF discs will fit the AP bells, We’ve seen the PF discs last longer than the AP and Alcon options. Most of the 2-Eleven guys just used one set of PF308 discs last season.

This!
I have been using PF pads with AP discs but only because i had stock of AP’s…
When they are gone ill be looking at the PF discs, like Stephen says, all the lads in the racing use the pads and discs together with great results.
Good info thanks guys. Anyone have a part number for the PF front discs that fit onto the AP bells.
do PF do a 315mm disc or is it just a 308mm?
