Disabled driver needs your help.

Some of you might have heard of Ken Newson who has built a perfect replica of a Lotus 11.signed off by historic Lotus Register and approved by the DVLA.
He is a qualified engineer who worked for Rolls Royce.
BUT unfortunately he had a stroke some years ago and is not allowd to drive on the road.
He would dearly like to drive his masterpiece on the track but without a driving licence he cant attend trackdays.
Anybody know Where I can get him a track drive under controlled conditions???
I really understand Ken’s frustration and would like to help him.

Have you tried Goodwood?

Clive

Suggest you speak to the factory, to use Hethel - someone in Lotus Club International. I’m sure that would make a great story for the Magazine, & could attract some TV/press news coverage too, so everyone is a winner

Good luck, mate.

PS 60th Anniversary Event on 14th September, perhaps?

Would have thought that Bruntingthorpe might be able to help out too ?

The web link doesn’t seem to work at the moment but these people might be able to help…

Russ He lives a couple of miles from me very Traaaaaactor laaaand…in Heast Janglia.
He even made a trailor for it so if necessary I will fit a tow hook to the Exige and take him somewhere…
Some good suggestions coming in…polite too

Hey Clive
I could have a word with the Station Comander at RAF Honnington when i’m back in a few weeks. Theres a 2 mile runway there he could hoon around with some massive and i mean massive run offs, where car and driver aren’t going to get hurt.

Hi Jez that would be nice.
Ken is a competant driver so does like a challenge
