The Ginetta G40R looks quite tempting!
http://ginetta.com/cars_g40r
I admit, the rear of the car takes some getting use to, but the spec is all I want, and it’s a “road” car which should fit in well on circuit if / when I fancy a play (which is getting infrequent these days ).
If I was to change car, the G40R looks a good candidate. Or am I crazy to consider another (even) lower volume handmade plastic tub??
Good choice, on the face of it, Tom
I read a recent test on a Ginetta and they concluded that while OK on the road the interior really let it down for a 30k car
Your Lotus is reliable and I guess this wouldn’t be
On second thoughts it looks like a bag of $hit - and have you wondered why there are no pics of the interior ? I’ll tell you why - it’s a bag of $hit
I think you’ll find that LNT knows what he’s doing - it’s meant to be a road legal track car. Why should it be unreliable, given it’s mechanical base?
With regards the interior - who cares, even if it is somewhat basic?
You pays your money, & you get wheels
Whose engine do they use:
1999cc in-line 4-cylinder, 16-valve, DOHC
Electronic fuel injection
Petrol developing 175bhp and 190Nm at 5000rpm
0-60mph: 5.8s
Top speed: 140mph
Liking all I read about Ginetta, seems they have ethos Lotus used to have in the past. Agree the rear end could be better.
795kg is a big plus
Also, if I was in the market for the Exige V6 then the Ginetta G50 might be an option also (is it available as a road going car?)
