direct induction kit vs standard airbox Exige S

This is just a MAF mounting which retains the standard air deflection plastics in the MAFs tube. No mods just a way to help the MAFs read correctly. Im assuming that aftermarket intake systems are just a tube with a MAFs mounting and dont have the vanes inside the tube. This just helps to keep the sensor reading steadily. OH and both Elise S and R/Exige should have the same MAFs if they kept them like on other toyota installations.

These issues have been adressed quite a while ago by the Celica and MR-S swappers. Shame that no standalone is yet available for the Lotus range. A standalone makes quite a bit of difference on the 2ZZ as demonstrated by the motorsport ecu. Additionally the 2ZZ is VERY critical to the exhaust system. Get it wrong and you lose power. Getting it right is NOT easy.

I can provide a part number for the MAFs tomorrow.
