Alternator hasn’t been touched since new. Early 2005 car.
On my way back to Blighty now so will have a look tonight at how close the aleternator is to the dipstick.
Seems a bit of a freak occurance.
Off on a 3/4000 mile Euro trip in the morning so such it would have failed had it not been sorted.
