dimensions

i know i could probably look this up somewhere but i was wondering if anyone had the exact width of an exige to hand ? i have a workshop with doors that are 1930 cm wide and was wondering if ill get the car in … thanks

RogerMy official Exige brochure has no mention of dimensions. However, in Autocar’s 2/8/2000 edition they quote:Length 3780mmWidth (excl mirrors) 1720mmHeight 1175mmNot looking too hopeful.

thanks pesky … hhhmm without mirrors … not looking good

RogerFrom memory my garage doors are approx 2.00m clear opening and the Exige goes through without having to think about it too much - as opposed to other cars which are often very tight. Therefore, I think you should be OK (with a little caution)Regards - David

roger x - if your garage is really over 19 metres wide I don’t think you wil have any problems… [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

Sorry to complicate things…and it should not make any difference anyway, but according to the Lotus Service Manual the width is 1730mm

I bet they are pink ones with flowers on it…:lol :abhauoi Pesky, you promised us some more infos about that Quaife 6 speed box…:angelhow was the show anyway? anything interesting for us?cheers,Bruno

BrunoRuss has the brochure with all the facts & figures, so I’ll ask him to post the details. I think the sequential 6 speed is 3750 & the H pattern 6 speed 2750. Quaiffe replace part of the gearbox casing. Cost of fitting Quaiffe parts to existing box already out of car is 200 & for them to take the box out & then refit is 400. All prices are of course excluding VAT. The good news for you is that Quaiffe have also developed a special box for the Swiss trackday market - 6 sequential reverse gears, & 1 forward gear [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image] [This message has been edited by Pesky (edited 13 January 2002).]
