Differences in spec and engines (newbie buy Q's)

Hi

My first option was a S1 but as the car’s seen until now are far from perfect I am looking to S2’s now as well.

I am looking for information that makes it easier for me to compare all different cars that are currently for sale. I see different option packs, but cannot fine information what is in those packs. I like to know the differences in engines that are available as well. Is for instance the 240 Cup engine the same as the current S engine? Is the traction control in the old cup the same as the current that is delivered in the 08 models?
What is the most desirable S2 model?
What options are a must?

Regards

Quirin

Depends on your definition of perfection I guess

Hi
What is the most desirable S2 model?

Quirin

Easy mine

Touring Pack:
Carpets, sounds proofing, leather seats, uprated CD player

Performance Pack (NA 54/55 plates)
Twin oil coolers, race seats, 4 point harness

Performance Pack (Exige S 2008)
240bhp upgrade, AP racing brakes, revised roof scoop

NA Exige is 190bhp
Exige S is 220bhp (supercharged)
Cup 240 is 240bhp (supercharged)
240R is 240bhp (supercharged) with Lotus Sport bits and pieces
Cup 255 is 255bhp (supercharged)

Pretty sure the supercharged models are identical with just a remapped ECU and different injectors for the 240bhp.

Generally more options is bad as it increases the weight. Most Exige S’s weigh ~950Kg

Does anyone know 100% they change the injectors? If so what are the specs of the standard injectors and ‘uprated’ ones?

Std S2s and Ss use std Toyota injectors.

The 240R and early Cup 240s (with cable throttles) have std std + a fifth injector.

Late Cup 240/255 etc use 4 larger injectors (with drive by wire throttles)

dont forget the Cup 260

dont forget the Cup 260

Oops… and next weeks Cup 265

Surprised its not been named the

‘Mug 260’

…very apt. name

Thanks Badnis

To be explicit does that mean all S2 Exige S’s run the same injectors? The 220bhp and the Performance Pack 240bhp use the same?

If not, what are the differences?

wot he said

Then technically the answer was No…No…100cc’s

Then next quiz for the tie-breaker is…what are the std Exige S injectors…

330cc

What do I win?

Still yes…no and …100c’s

330cc’s…due to the fact you have slightly better octane and Lotus was too cheap to buy the 440cc’s…so the tune was to max out the 330’s on the S…

Did I win the assorted luggage ?

How about a few beers when you get over here
