Did all S2 exiges come with ABS?

Hi all.

I was sure that my 2004 exige came without ABS. However I have checked via deroure ( https://www.deroure.com/diagrams.asp?MAK=1&MDL=12&TBL=12447&SMA=0&SMO=0&ST=&SC=0 ) and it doesnt show any discrepancy between ABS and non ABS equipped cars.

Its late and I really dont want to jack up the car to go take a look.

I have the part numbers for

ABS : A117D6005F
Non ABS : A117D6002F

Can anyone clarify?

I “think” they did and it was the Kelsey Hayes EBC430 Anti-lock system until 2010?

Yes all had Abs
The bearings will interchange as they are mechanically the same. Just ABS version has the speed sensor.
Buy decent make as the cheaper ones are not as good IMHO

thanks !

I will be replacing the hub in due course.

Dave, do you recommend those through-bolt things on the front hubs where there’s no axle for support?

Not seen them in yonks but I remember them being a “thing” at one point.

For the 111 abs was introduced same time as the switch to Toyota engines.

The decent bearings (SKF) dont need the thru bolts IMHO The way they are peened in production makes them very strong, If using the cheaper bears then yes use a thru bolt!!!

Gotcha, I always buy skf so I’ll sleep easy! I’ve been told by somebody in the trade that FAG are also a good alternative? Not had the pleasure of fondling one yet though to see if it passes the “reassuringly heavy” test!
