I’ve had a problem since I got my Exige of ‘Detting’ up to 3000 revs… very annoying. Its going in tomorrow to be looked at by a ‘special engineer’ from Lotus!(PS: Detting is an annoying ‘tinging’ sound)
Let us know how you get on.I think I’m going to start running on Super Unleaded to minimise this anywho.

Detting at 3000 revs is extremely strange I would say, it sounds as though the lining on the cams is out of sync not detting.
No… It was definately detting…Replaced map-sensor… Now all Ok
