Decal Set - Help !

Having now got my “official” decal set, I’m wondering if it’s gonna make the car look a bit naff - I can’t decide. Basically you get a box full of transfers (including the large one which goes on the windscreen), not quite sure where the rest are supposed to go though (no smart answers please!) Would appreciate comments… (car is chrome orange btw) Hell, may even have them on before Donnington [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]Also - is there an easy way to apply them? soapy water springs to mind…Cheers, Phil.

I’ve got the large one on the windscreen. it looks the bollocks on me brg but I’m not so sure with orange ?

I quite fancied a set, but the word ‘sport’ is yellow. I don’t suppose it would be very readable on a yellow car. My advise is stick 'em on. Bring it to Donnington, and let us all have a look. If you don’t like them, I’m sure they’ll come off. You may as well give it a go now you’ve bought them. The soapy water sounds a good idea, it works well when fitting paint protection film. It lets you slide the decals into place. Try to find something like a flexible credit card to squeeze the water out.

are we going to get any pics then…and also how much did you pay and from where?

OK, will stick 'em on, and we’ll all see what kind of hash I can make of it!! 196DM from the dreaded elise-shop. Not sure what that is in real money though.

Well I figured they’re only stickers so they won’t cost that much surely…?!

blimey, that’s a lot of dosh for some stickers… mind you, I don’t know how much me dealer is charging me for mine…

I’d rather know, how the large windscreen decal looks from inside of the car… is it a toned, semitransparent decal which acts as a sunscreen or is it just plain ugly sticker surface sticking in your face when driving?Congrats, Bruno! I’m gonna get my sweet Exige on Thursday!!!Marcus

I actually think an opaque strip would be quite a good thing given that the car doesn’t have fold-down sun-visors.I’ve been blinded no-end of times as a result.

david try full face helmet with an iridium visor…the business

But WE DO HAVE cupholders! All of us, I suppose. All right… they are a bit inaccessible… in the passenger’s footrest… Lotus engineering [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image] but they hold three cans of energy drinks quite comfortably [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/tongue.gif[/image]Hm… the decals look cool on the pics… tempting. well, if you really want to make a fool out of yourselves, wear the crash helmet on public roads as well but then, you don’t really need any visor at all. take it from an old experienced biker.

depending on make of helmet anywhere between 50 and 85 in the Demon Tweeks motorbike catalogue…possibly cheaper if you ever go to one of the bike shows like the BMF rally (East of England showground April/May)
