De Cat - What do you do with the Lambda?

As the title says, i am having a decat made. however the fitter told me that if the second Lambda is installed the ECU would run the car lean.

Various cars have various options to cope with this (blanking of sensor/ leaving it dangling etc…) how is done with Exiges?

Cheers

You can unclip the sensor (the connectors about a foot up the cable) or patch in a resistor to eliminate the light. I ran round for best part of a year with the sensor unclipped and light on no problems.

ok great… any idea as to the resistance needed?

There is also a hardware version CEL eliminator, without the need to splice wiring. I prefer the hardware version instead. Straight bolt-on to the second 02 sensor bung, plug in 02 sensor at the other end and you’re sorted.

Normally the secondary lambda has no fuelling control / input, it will just throw a MIL light.

The solution above (spacer) works well, as it moves the sensor out of the gas flow a bit.
