Damn....

So, yesterday was the MartenMemorial and my brother took the Exige S1 out for a spin. Literally. He fucked up at some roundabout, had a bit of oversteer and snap back. As he said the car hit a high curb with the right front wheel luckily this lifted the car up so the body was spared… car didn’t behave as it should and steering wheel is of centre.

Any idea’s what he should check? Help please.

Rene

MOre learned people than me on here, but likely result is bent wishbone or similar. Assuming nothing looks out of whack only way to tell is to get the geometry checked and a thorough inspection.

Thanx, the more learned people seem to keep quite though.

Yes, I will check the obvious: control arms, tie rod, steering gear and rim

Any parts of the aluminum chassis I need to check more careful? Mounting points of the steering gear?

To be honest I have no idea how hard the hit was but wanna make sure the car is ok.

Check the wishbone mounting points. Hopefully these are fine and its just a bent steering rod end.

Solved. Nothing bend at all. Straightened one rim, changed wheel carrier balljoints as a precaution and did a new alignment. Ready to go again.
