Does anyone know what the silver one actually sold for?
If Chris bought it - who knows??
I turned down a rather similar price for mine last year from an overseas buyer…
Well, I’m surviving the onslaught of SELOC naysayers, and still here! I’ve had a good amount of interest (positive) in my car, showing it’s pitched just about right. Naturally I’ve had a couple of chancers offering me a p/x with a Golf and some Lucky Heather, but I’ll hold out till I realise what I want for it, or simply not sell it! As has been said earlier in this thread, its a sellers market, I’m in no rush.
Anyway, back to the messages, it’s relentless…

(PS, thank you all for the positive comments)
Well, if I had the money, I would be buying a S1 Exige - no question. Prices are clearly going up and I’d love to get one before they go silly.
Yes, you can buy a faster car, yes there are cheaper alternatives but just look at them! They look like nothing else really and even driving my motorsport bodied elise, the amount of looks, points, open mouths I see when driving it is insane!
Personally, I dont think much comes close to them - they are close to design perfection for a sports car (aside from a few angles and the underpowered powerplant)
Anyone want a deal on my Honda K20 Motorsport Elise for a S1 Exige?..
Great topic how much are exige S1’s now worth?
Mines factory fresh with 4000 miles from new zero track use and all the factory options ie harnesses stereo etc but no air conditioning and PPF from new and all original with no modifications…
I paid £47500 two years ago knowing this particular example will be up there with the best if not the best in existence!
Thrashed abused tatty tracked examples will soon fetch 40k plus due to their low build numbers
I’m convinced 100k for the best exige S1s is only a matter of time!

Do you intend to use the S1 Kevin?
It seems a shame that it’s barely been used during its life so far.
Your S1 sounds ace but I think 100k is a bit optimistic even if we are talking in a few years’ time - prices have softened somewhat. Lotus aren’t like such as Porsche for age & value, so even the super desirable stuff like an Elan 26R doesnt’t really hit that sort of money and even the sought-after Sprint in absolutely belting nick is what, 50 - 60k tops.
S1’s are in the £35-45k bracket right now, a fantastic low miles, perfect in every way, every extra car sold on CC 2 months ago for £38k which was a tragic price, but the market has definitely softened from its peak £50-60k of 2 years ago.
They are rare, but tend to get overlooked, they are just a bit too niche I think. Shame but better to buy to enjoy than as an investment, if your prediction happens then it’s a win win. If it’s 4K miles, you could add 6-10k to that without having any impact of its value.
When I serviced my car this year I was told by the specialist it’s the best S1 Exige he has seen and I should tuck it away. The next day I did a 12 hr trip across the Brecon Beacons just to remind myself why that won’t be happening…
Whether driving it, looking at it or purely as an investment I hope you enjoy the car
