Cup255 -- air box info....

FYI – totally different air box/filter on the 255. Larger box (with TRD #), no snorkel, larger rectangular opening at cold air intake side and, of course, the air filter is larger/different than the 240/S filter.

Yes, much more intake noise.

Btw, remove the snorkel from your air box and do the velocity stack mod – you’ll feel an improvement in throttle response and increase you intake sound.

Jackson…did you or more importantly one your buddies with a supercharger who did the velocity stack mod get a drive by noise test…cos I run a daytona carbon intake on my 240 and I got black flagged on driveby for 91db (with a limit of 89db)(after only 5 fekin laps!) at Bedford off a static of c.96-8! So with the whine of the S/C and the induction bark afforded by a less muffled intake you could fall foul of the sphinctre police on track…But sounds great on the road…Unless anyone can tell me how to quieten it down AND maintain the freeflow!
