Cup 260 (additional 20 Bhp)

Having ridden in a SC Honda and an S2 240pp, I can without doubt say the SC Honda IS in another class! MUCH quicker and it FEELS it too!!!

Dont forget supercharged Hondas go from 280bhp right up to 380bhp so it really depends in which one you went in, I would expect that a 240PP would be something close to a Std NA with 220bhp, to really play with the charged Honda’s your going to need something like Ades car with just over 300bhp and then your still talking the lesser tuned ones.
But then of course you could go mad like Frank and stick in a big turbo and blow all the Honda boys into the weeds for a good 30 seconds until you get to a bend/run out of fuel/something breaks…

What hp is frank’s car then ?

Gav I looked into upgrading my 218bhp S at the Lotus factory to either 240bhp or 255bhp. I received a spreadsheet detailing the all the parts, codes and costs. At no time were internal components mentioned - crank, rods etc. The only stipulation made was that I had to have the roof with the larger scoop and the big brake kit.
The original question was about 240 to 260, not 220 to 240 which we know the gotham can do. So, do we know the differences with the engine between the two?

Right on mate and don’t forget weight, it’s a big issue between the two. The 260 price is mostly about saving weight, not alot needs to be done I guess going from 240 to 255 and nothing really to 260? …Ok and I have no idea but foot in the other shoe what if you put the Toyota 260 in an S1 what would the out come be then?

As for not thinking you can get that much extra power with just a tune, I know it is correct my car was the first UK car to get it. you need the bigger injectors for the extra fuel need for 30ish hp.

Here is the Gotham kit.

“Ronin Gotham Upgrade For Exige ‘S’ - The Ronin Gotham is a superb starting point to upgrade the factory Exige ‘S’, this consists of a reprogrammed control module and larger injectors. The remapped control module makes full use of the available power of the Supercharger and gives a gain of around 20hp, plus considerable increases in low and mid-range torque - truly a superb upgrade for the Exige ‘S’.”

Surely its running more boost pressure if it needs larger injectors?
:sunglasses: is there a link for this???..you got any idear
how much this costs??? were are they based??? after all we could all do with more  :sunglasses:
