Just spoken to Lotus and the roof will be available for order in June for 240 and S owners as an upgrade. Production of the roofs is outsourced hence the delay as the current orders are spoken for with the Cup 255 cars.

Good to hear that AT LONG LAST, the factory have realised there is a good market for Exige modifications - let’s hope they don’t get greedy…
They aren’t going to part with a bigger intercooler though
But the roof should minimise the issues I’ve had with the intercooler to date.
Thats another upgrade i will add to my list of stuff i want but, should not spend my hard earned on
Can’t see it being less than the Eliseparts roof, �795 ex VAT, or an extra �200 for carbon.
I must admit though i think it looks better than the eliseparts roof. With the bigger intake it seems as though it would fuction better too…
the 255 scoop appears to be wider and deeper than the elise parts one,which appears to keep the same dimensions throughout its length, so i’d imagine it’d let a lot more air in

Yes, I have to agree, I think the 255 roof is nicer, but I can’t imaging that you’ll get change from �1500 and even that may be optimistic. Go on Lotus prove me wrong
Lotus should do the decent thing and make it a standard fittment on any new Exige the cost at that stage is negligable. If ayone is placing an order I suggest you stamp and scream until they include the intake. Or buy a used Exige and with the change retrofit the large intake.
They probably couldn’t make it standard if they wanted to. I guess pedestrian safety rules prevent it.
As a minimum, they’d have to spend a load of money getting the car re-certified for such a change.

better than the 255 roof, that roof looks unfinished and it narrows down too much at the back, Thanks Demus although someone else got in there before you
