Crunching into 5th at high revs

If I’m blowing some cobwebs away by taking the revs over 6k then when I change up into 5th it always crunches. Doesn’t happen at lower revs. Very annoying at the moment as I get some decent momentum going only to loose it all struggling into 5th without wrecking the box.

I have had the gear change linkages and bits adjusted. The restraining bolt under the gearstick isn’t the problem either.

I’m assuming something is wrong inside the box. Any pointers before I take it back to the dealer under the warranty?

Don’t know, the same happens to me but only sometimes from 3 to 4.
I was blaming it in doing the shift too quick, as it doesn’t wnhen I take just slightly longer.

Was going to have a word with Quaife thinking I was just shifting too quick and needed some straight cut gears instead…

Is yours the UCR box too then?

Mine does it between 1st & 2nd if you change too quick as well .

Nope CR, as stondard on the Exige.

Mine does it very occaisionally 3rd to 4th at high revs. Standard CR box and linkage.

But I never had any problem in the S2 in any gear.

Anyone know the cause?

Anyone know the cause?

Did Fiona ever drive the S2?

Only kidding

Mine has always crunched into 5th … I adjusted the linkage to stop it and then it crunched into 2nd … so I decided 5th was a better “crunching” gear for mostly track use
