TODAY is the day! I collect my Exige ‘S’! Really excited and the weather is just perfect for it!
Driving down to Newbury later this morning, which leaves a brill drive through the Cotswolds on the way home after taking the car (and Lisa!) out for lunch!!!
I’ll post some sunny pictures later… (but not the ones with the roof off!!!)
It’s a wierd feeling going into Yota ownership, because over the last 5 years all I have ever known is the ‘K’!
Lots to do in the next few weeks too as some TD’s beckon!
Nice 1 Pete … I fetched mine from near Newbury too and did a similar drive back to you … Stopped to fuel up on the A34 at Family Farm Services and the crowds of admirers gathered … My first taste of what was to come !!!
A REALLY great day! PERFECT weather and quiet Cotswold roads on the way home!
I Bought the car from Paul W on here… a really top man and very helpful in making my purchase a great experience. Thx Paul!
Took it quietly on the A34 (past all those cows and bullocks!) with Lisa behind me in the ‘taxi’ full of bits for the car! Gave it some beans once off and just a great experience! LOVE the SC whine, and 3rd gear is just great!
Stopped off in Burford for a light lunch… parked almost opposite and it was great watching all the tourists walking around and peering into the car! I love the Laser Blue colour on the S2… really suits it IMHO and stands out in a subtle way…
Got home late pm, but took Lisa for a quick spin! After the usual ‘lecture’ about promising not to go too fast, we pootled into Broadway and then back out on the dual cabbageway! Gave it the beans in 2nd gear and the voice in the other seat said…
BLIMEY!!!
Home now… took some piccies which I will post soon! Car is hopefully into Nitron this week to have the NTR’s fitted ready for Boothys track day! I will say that the ‘Stage 3’ exhaust is BLOODY loud and there is NO way it will pass Donny… so trying to work on that one!
Overall, very pleased to be back in an Exige. I am thrilled I have had the pleasure of owning an S1, but am very happy to be on the dark side!
Cool man personally though I like 1st and 2nd gear best as its all you need for maximum noise hah I love to pull away behind ppl in 1st up to 40 onto the second cam and watch them look in the rear view as it makes what sound like gun shots come out of the rear, can’t be good for the engine but I enjoy it haha
Hope you enjoy it mr pete want to see some photos soon.
