Crank position sensor position?

Hi,

Is the crank position sensor in a Exige S1 VHPD sit on the same place as in a Caterham?

I try to get my engine running on a DTA ECU but I think I have the wrong crank sensor position data.

Yeah, its on the inlet side of the engine down low on the block. Yo shouldn’t have any problems if you are using a standard flywheel. I had loads of problems with spacing etc when I used an Erland flywheel.

Hi,

What value have you got in there now, and are you after the Caterham or the Lotus value?

Hi Azrael

I am after the Caterham settings

I have now 286 as K-series (Lotus) and 105 for caterham.

It seems there are several flywheels as well, so too many variables to get it working (it only pops now and then

Of all the different base maps I have the only other value I can see apart from those you already mentioned is 162 BTDC.

My spies tell me you’re using the S80 DTA so I’d guess you already know that the Swin software has a cranking oscilloscope under the ‘display and test functions’ menu that after a few seconds cranking should display all you need to know regarding the flywheel.

If you like you’re welcome to PM me your e-mail I’ll send you some screen caps of the General engine settings pages of the maps I have, I can even send the map files if it’ll help.
