I don’t want to start a thread war but was wondering what a ‘finger in the air’ cost would be to achieve 300bhp out of my Exige S 240PP. This would include fitting and mapping etc. The car would be used for road only so I’m not so worried about gearbox issues. I figure I’d need the following:
Injectors
Fuel Pump (Hanger111 does not seem to include this?)
W/A Charge Cooler
ECU Crack and Map (Hanger111 website seems to indicate that this is not a custom remap?)
Pulley
Exhaust (back box only or plus manifold, again Hangar111 only indicates a cat?)
To be honest, there are only 2 companies that say they can do 300hp, Essex Autosport (formally Sinclaires) who have done many and has proven figures and outputs, and then Hanger 111 that AFAIK have done a few upgrades, I have not ever seen one on a comparative dyno day so can’t comment on the validity of their claimed output etc. However after having done a lot of work to get to around 300hp I can’t see how they do it without the pump and smaller pulley.
At the end of the day ring both and get a price.
[color:#3333FF] Also depends on which dyno you wanna see 300 bhp at …
For Example a standard boost CN car can measure 290+ with a forge alone…on WGT’s hub dyno
Thanks for the info gents, very helpful! Out of interest, has anybody driven in the potential CN 290 car V Hangar 111 V Sincs? Would be interesting to know what the seat of the pants difference is.
I’m not about to stir up a hornets nest and ask how long I can expect it to last!
To be fair, mine lasted a long time. Even when it goes the car is still driveable, and there has been no additional damage (apart from the obvious 3rd gear) to the box on mine. Depending on who you go to, you can have the Jubu gear set fitted for considerably less than that.
