coolant level

I’ve just had the heater resistor mod done under warranty.

It was done about 2 weeks ago. I checked the water coolant level yesterday and noticed that it was hovering on the low marker.

Should I be worried or is this normal?

If I am going to top this up, I believe water is adequate but will dilute the mixture.

Do Halfords sell the appropriate coolant mixture for me to top the level up?

Thanks for any advice.

I’d go to Toyota dealer and get the original stuff tbh…
It’s only about 6 a litre …
Not all coolant is compatable and I know Toyota are rather fussy about what they specify… I think they recommend “for life” coolant…

If it’s on the low marker when cold, no problem.

True…

Thanks guys…it was low whilst it was cold so am relieved about that. Will pick a 1litre bottle up from Christopher Neil’s this week.

Watch out for leaking coolant tanks, they become very brittle and eventually leak over time. Mine cracked and was caught early…

Just top it up with good old british tap water.

Use the Lotus spec as some Toyota stuff is not compatible with it.

Ive hear Pesky gravy mix is the best top up …

Only in Honda engines…

Blimey … Glad you don’t run my local pub !!!
