Agree never needed an LSD with 260hp but with 300hp it is massively helpful, you just have to change your driving style a bit, PS don’t get the plate style LSD a Torsen only
LSD is nice to have (particulary on some tracks that you need 2nd gear), but not essential with a high power Exige S IMO.
With 300 horses, the cars still has plenty of traction. End of the day its a high revving engine with not particulary huge amounts of torque and the power is very linear. Some of these high power audi converion (or 300bhp+ vx220 turbos) break traction so easily as they give you a wallop of torque at such low revs - Makes driving on the road in varying conditions interesting.
I have noticed I canget on the throttle earlier harder now I have the LSD in 3rd gear corners, before had to use partial or gradual throttle inputs, also it is a lot easier to control when it does break traction on corner exit.

Are you pissed Sean!
No, but i have spent three hours on a Monach Airbus with many screaming kids and random chavs earlier today!!
Fly Thomas Cook next time then!
Cheers for all the responses. Moving ever closer to spending cash on Exige S but the question then is should the cash be stretched to a PP240 version or just go for S and then upgrade later? … or did see a nice 2eleven but not sure I fancy getting wet going to a track day!
SeanB I am a big busted blonde if that means you will give me great advice about Exige’s
The performance pack cars are really the ones to go for, for a few specific reasons.
1 bigger brakes at the front
2 bigger roof scoop that helps the intercooler airflow
3 bigger injectors capable of going to 260 when needed (the 220 injectors need to be upgraded when doing the christopher neil upgrade but the performance pack ones don’t)
Only problem I’d personally have with it is the fact that the performance pack cars come with the newer heavy ugly airbag dash and steering wheel

I used to think that, it took all of one day living with one to realise the airbag dash is miles better. There is no way I would go back.

If you can stretch to the 240PP then do it, if you plan on tracking the car though make sure it has the 2 piece front discs, most of the later cars only had the 1 piece front discs, you can upgrade later though when you kill the first set though
I’ve just upgraded to two piece discs, cheaper than the AP’s. About to put them on the car I’ll let you know what I think of them once I’ve tested them out on the track. Nitron bells and Alcon discs http://www.seriouslylotus.com/index.php/braking/brake-discs/308mm-alcon-discs-and-nitron-fully-floating-bells.html
