I havent heard of firefox having any issues with cookies. you can try this to sort your problem - Tools, Options, click Privacy, on the right side make sure “Allow sites to set cookies” is ticked.

Tried all of the sugestions and it still doesn’t remember me!!

Bloody thing!!!

If you are ever up near manchester you can drop the computer into my office and I will sort it for you if you like.

Cheers for the offer dude.

One last thing to try. I rate the free browser Firefox as a better piece of software than Internet Explorer. If you install this -

Just click the big Firefox 3.5 icon and follow the instructions.

It might make everything work for you. You will just need to click the new Firefox icon instead of your blue E for Internet explorer to browse the 'net. It works nearly exactly the same, just better.

Worth a go.

That’s what I was going to suggest too - I just did a quick search and there are a few known issues with UBB Threads (the software this forum uses) and IE8.

If you won’t go Mac then at least bin IE for Firefox.

This is a know issue with IE 8. There is some debate if Microsoft will fix this. I use IE8 at home, however, as I also use Norton internet security the Norton package remembers my login and password so I have this resolved.

An answer would be to download and install IE7 from Microsoft or to use a package like Norton that has a password manager.

try using Firefox. With the adblock plus add-on its infinately quicker on most sites than IE and it has login detail saving built in.

Cheers guys, really appreciate all of the suggestions. I guess using firefox is worth a go.

Sean…

You only gain by using Firefox over IE, you lose nothing. Let me know if it fixes it :O)
