I’m having a bit of a boring day at work today, and it got me thinking about weather it would be possible to add a supercharger to an Audi converted Exige?
Would it be possible to fit a small supercharger above the engine or inlet manifold with the belt at the drivers side of the car, the air feed coming from the passenger side of the car, and the charged air going straight to the turbo intake?
This sort of setup…
Dude you should know by now that compound charging doesn’t work, ask the experts on Seloc or Lotus Talk. Those guys know all there is to making things go fast better…
Come on you want the lag and peaky short power band a turbo alone will give you if you want any real power.

Surely a straight transplant from an Audi TT RRS sould/should be a goer?? ( no pun intended)

I dont think they are supercharged are they? Is it not twin turbo? I think the small 1.4 is the only VAG super + turbo charged set up.

so if you were to go for a setup like this, how would you stop the smaller supercharger from being restrictive at the top end…?

Correct they are turbo’d, I only suggested for simplicity
I think its been looked at, but as its a 5 cylinder its too long. And cos they’re so new mega bucks. 
Shame though.

Dude where have you been for the last three years ?
That is how I run my compound setup and there is no restriction anywhere. The blower is a boost multiplier…
