Complete Re Wire

Although propably not as exciting as the usual prespcription related posts in this section, I thought I would share my current mods.

Got annoyed with having some relays behind the seat and other in the nose. Another problem, I had was that the up and over exhaust was causing the insulation to melt with the engine harness connector on the LHS of the bulkhead. The weight of the wiring came to 15kg’s excluding the relay and fuse holders which I had already fitted when I weighed them. Granted I am going to put some back, but certainly not all of it.

Looking good!!!

What is your wiper motor bracket made of, is it carbon? The original as you know weighs a tonne, so I would be interested in a light weight replacement.

I wish, it is just a carbon cover over the LH pedal assembly mounting hole. I tried to think of a way of losing the motor mounting bracket, but came to the conclusion that any replacement was going to be far to expensive and put the old one back in for addressing at a later stage. Easier just to remove the assembly when it’s not needed. We have mostly sunny days here .

Cheers Jason. Good luck with the rewire. I remember doing mine and it took me ages.
