Thinking of putting this on my Amazon wishlist - anyone got it or read it - any comments?

Steve,
I’ve got the third edition and it’s a great lead-in to most of the different suspension types, layouts, materials, geometry etc with the supporting maths where it’s necessary. It does stick resolutely to competition cars - like the title says! While I don’t think you could consider it either the most complete or most in depth book on suspension available I have spent far more money on books that only ended up half as good.
Most of the ‘Competition car…’ range is worth reading but I would say to avoid ‘Competition car electrics’ and also ‘Competition car Data Logging’ which both seem a little old fashioned and lacking in useful detail compared to the rest of the series. Unfortunately not even much in the way of example circuit diagrams etc between them.
Allan Staniforths ‘Race and rally car sourcebook’ contains a decent sized section on most of the subjects covered in the ‘Competition car…’ range too.

Top info there
I don’t know what the book is like but Alan Staniforth set up my last car and he is a genius…
Excellent - just what I was looking for - thanks. Now i just have to persuade someone to get it for me!
