Try your luck all you need is a orange un-allocated unit and your flying!
Got to say i love the orange but could not justify the extra 1k for a colour, just hope I dont live to regret that.
I ordered Storm Titanium as I felt that it would fare better with minor scratches, scrapes, polish marks etc. I also thought it was a ‘mature’ choice (whatever the hell that means!).
Buuuuuut… Chrome Orange kicks ass!!
The brochure colour swatch makes it look quite drab and tangerine-ish, but when seen in the flesh… !!
I’m now too far down the line to change. Nevermind - I guess I’ll reap the financial benefits of choosing a ‘safe’ colour when the time comes to swap over for the inevitable S3 (or equivalent).
I’m here in the U.S. and I have never seen an S2. I have seen the Elise in Chrome Orange that looks O.K., but I’m not convinced. Does the Exige look better.
Here are the options I am trying to decide between…
Oh you should know not to get us started on colours!
I have a Gunmetal S1. I went for that as I feel it has an air of attitude whilst showing off the lines better than an even darker colour. However, on track (bit much on the road) I think the Orange looks great on the S1.
Now, in my opinion, the S2 doesn’t look as special, and it needs a bolder colour to give it that little bit more. Orange definately works, and yellow looks good too.
Ardent Red - Looks awesome from the front, but doesn’t work the angles well at the rear. It’s a bright solid colour, so it will show every polish mark and light scrape.
Chrome Orange - Wicked! No other word will do. Prepare for a lot of attentin though (but does the car really need more!?).
Artic Silver - I’m normally a fan of silver, but it looks a bit weak on the S2.
Storm Titanium - The next best after Chrome Orange. Subtle, but aggressive.
All in all, colour choice is purely subjective and comes down to the individual.
I would strongly advise you to look at all the colours in the flesh (on an S2) before you order.
Xman, I strongly suggest you join the Scottish_Elises group.
Plenty of gatherings, runs, trackdays, etc.
Possibly join the Tut Towers event starting on May 13th and ending May 15th.
