Posted this on SELOC so sorry to thoses that look on there.

I got back on track again for the first time in 3 years yesterday

And the first time in the Exige, couldn�t believe the grip the thing had on track.

Should have done a bit of set up work on it but just got there and drove it, so same damper settings as on the road (way to soft LOL) and same tyre pressure.

Hope the 2 S2 Exiges that went off didnt cost to much to sort out

I was there yesterday, for the first time.

Is Combe now the only circuit with the “pass on right” rule?

Let my brother lose with my camera for a few session so was glad he got a few good shots.

Rob i think it is the only place that you have to pass on the right and it is a pain when you have to go off line.

Have you driven Donny with the S/C on your car ? if so did you have any problems with sound levels ? Hoping to go next month but dont want to go if im going to have trouble.

There were four SC Hondas (including Rob) at the Donny a few weeks back and only one noise issue which was right at the end of the day as both the circuit quietened down and the weather changed. I guess it all depends on your exhaust configuration - I think we were all running Martin’s big backbox.

Cheers Ben mine is about 95db static so sounds like it should be ok.

MartinE, Benja, Con & myself were all the recent Donny day with similar Lotuspower installations, including the Lotuspower hoooge silencer - no problems with noise. TBH, yours doesn’t sound dissimilar to ours, from the clip you’ve posted, but I don’t suppose that means much in reality though. Have you had yours statically tested - if it’s below 98db you should be okay at Donny, provided you short shift at the top end of the start/finish straight.

Can’t remember whether or not you’ve been to Donny before, but if not, I’m sure you’ll really like it

Went to Donny in my old car and had problems with the sound man (but that had loud induction)

Just didnt want to go back if there was no way i will get on as its a long way for me.

The last time i went i had the odd problem as well, This is also why i went the Honda route and not the Audi 20v in the Exige.

The Golf ran a 250hp NA 20v motor and the valve snapped.

Good to catch up again Mark and thanks for taking my brother out, just had to put up with him telling me how crap i am at driving for the rest of the day

The power delivery looks insane, after seeing Martins Honda installation last week it got right to the top off my christmas list. Nice driving, looks like fun.

Get the steering wheel closer by installing a spacer. Will be a more relaxing drive.

Cheers mate,the last lap was a 14 dead. Was a bit gutted not to get in to the 13’s but there’s always next year

TBH I have done a good few laps round Combe so know it quite well, 1.27 on your first time there isn’t too bad especially as it was wet in the morning. I bet it took you a few laps to get your confidence up as it started to dry up.

Suppose so! I only had about 12 or so dry laps and then it got too busy to go out.
