LOTUS EXIGE S1 | A True Driver's Car - YouTube
Looks like a fun thing and bidding beyond £26k already
Collecting cars seem to be shifting some nice stuff recently. Generally getting good prices too. Seems an odd time of year to sell an Exige though. Few £ more in the spring?
Looks to have painted the rear wing struts since the photos were taken.
Hope it goes better than the black S1 did on the site
might have to hope it stays in a budget I could take a chance on, I know how good that particular car is kept, amazed Christian is selling it…
I’ve been in that car - its an absolute weapon, and has had no expense spared. Bet Christian won’t be too impressed with that video though - he doesn’t exactly sell it does he, and get some of the details wrong
Looks a fantastic car for someone - will be interesting to see where the price ends up. I know several who say its their dream car but never quite go through with it, hopefully one of them makes a bid !
Expansion tank looks a little low on coolant!!!
Sold for 40k + buyers premium
Yep £42.5k all in. Fair price? Needed some tidying to my eye, I thought solid figure given the weird climate and time of year.
I’m surprised it reached that figure. Looked pretty uncared for if (no offence to prev owner!) and the respray looked more like a quick blow-by without bothering to mask off grilles, spolier uprights etc.
And the coolant level was low, probably just a leak but demonstrates a lack of care & maintenance to me. I expected it to go for £34k all in to be honest…
Maybe it demonstrates that S1 values are on the up in order to maintain a decent diff from S1 elise values?
Also, does it demonstrate that buyers are not bothered about lack of originality (when it comes to engine swaps?).
I was going to take a punt on it, but it went over my budget sadly.
And another coming soon
I was looking for a project S1 at one stage, no funds now. But very curious how a project car fairs price wise.
An honest appraisal there. No service history . . . But could be a bargain buy.
Seems like a lot of wear and tear for 53k miles. Clearly quite unloved though.
Now how much money can I find down the back of the sofa?
That is one huge battery. Is it sitting on top of something?
Serial number is 600 so it’s one of the very last. I briefly thought about it for track days, mechanical check and just use it.
I think it’s an A/C car, there’s a different battery tray that sits on top of the AC evaporator
Will be interesting to see what this car goes for, clearly needs some TLC but could be about as cheap as a complete/original S1 is going to get.
