Coil pack..

Looks like I may need a new coil pack for the Exige… anyone know where to find one… am I right they’re also used on Fronteras ?

Fairly sure they’re a Vauxhall part - can’t remember which model though! JDS will know, that’s for sure

OEM PN A918E6009F
54.00 + VAT from QED

or about 30 on ebay for the Vauxhall unit

Thanks… much appreciated.

Oh… BTW are they relatively easy to replace ?

yes, I beleive it’s easy to replace as I think they’re only held in place with two bolts?

see 7th post down.

I understand that Prince Charles suffered coil failure on his Princess…resulting in the birth of the future King of England. You should always change them before they fail.

As said, as used on a lot of the mid-90s Vauxhalls. Two bolts, one plug and the four plug-leads, it’s a 5 minute job to replace

I’d take the time to give the bracket and the side of the engine it mounts to a good clean and polish as this is the earthing point.

Good point Steve.

I’m using a Subaru STi coil on my car, because my MoTeC ECU doesn’t have built in ignitors. It has a separate earth back to a mounting bolt in the engine.
