Has anyone done this before, and if so can they post how to do it - even better with photos The HT lead plugs are obvious but where are the LT connections?
I thought it would be a good idea to take the unit off and give all the contacts a good clean before fitting new Magnecor HT leads.
Has anyone used a good electrical contact cleaner that they can recommend for such a job?
The coil pack earths through the bracket that bolts it to the side of the head. The best cleaner for this is sand paper, just give all of the surfaces involved a good rub until you see nice shiny metal. That inludes the washers and the bolts, make sure they are all clean.
