Clutch & Flywheel choice?

Having seen the light and switched from Mitsubishi Evo ownership to a Lotus 2-Eleven, the thing that has struck me the most is how a light car requires relatively modest components to achieve brilliant performance.

I’m used to Evo owners using twin and triple carbon plate clutches that cost thousands of pounds whuch are able to cope with launching 500+ Bhp 4WD cars etc etc. It’s a mugs game.

Now there’s nothing wrong with my clutch but for future reference I was wondering if anyone has used one of these for the Toyota gearbox?..

I like the idea of a really low inertia clutch and flywheel set up

No experience of carbonetic, but if you want low enertia then go for a smaller diameter race clutch.

I’ve got a brand new TTV racing flywheel to suit the smaller 184mm race clutch that may not be needed now…

Couple of lighter flywheel options here

Bet there not cheap, but JF now needs one

Hey Adam welcome…if it’s made out of Carbon you’ll generally find some tosser will mention my name :tired:

JF is certainly king of carbon

The Carbon blade clutch is around 500 from what i can tell including cover plate.

Nowt wrong with having a thing for Carbon

500 doesn’t actually seems as bad as I thought it would be

I think it’s pitched price-wise at the usual uprated clutches like Exedy and ACT, only this one has some of the benefits of the big expensive full-on carbon clutches like being low inertia, able to take lots of abuse and being civilised enough to use on the road. I’ll certainly be looking into these clutches if mine ever wears out.
