At last getting a bit of time to get the exige out and get it fit and serviced. What are the recommended cleaning products and any proceedure tips for cleaning and re-oiling the windsock shaped cone filter I have in the pipe next to the giant 190 airbox?
I have had an unsuccessful trawl in the search section so don’t start…
I use the pipercross filter service kit, contains filter cleaner and re-oiling fluid. Think I got it from Halfuds for about �12. Enough in the kit to clean and re-oil the filter three to four times.
Many motorbike shops sell cleaning/oiling kits for the foam filters. Many motocross bikes use similar foam filters and clean them after every event and so the cleaning/oiling kits are priced competitively from here.
Demon Tweaks /GP Raceware all have the Pipercross goo.
Often wondered if simple washing up liquid and chainsaw oil would do the same job?
i used the mx style foam filter cleaner and mx foam filter oil
doesnt cost much
simple enough to use
just wear gloves and get a cheap bucket to do it in…
