Chrome Orange S1 for sale, 210bhp 1800cc K - BIG PRICE DROP

Hi guys n gals,

Having acquired Chris A’s white 260 Cup this summer, I’m now selling my much-loved S1. It’s been fun running both for a couple of months, but now I really need to get the money out. I’ll be putting this ad up on PH at the beginning of next week but thought I’d post here first to give the head start to the real enthusiasts! Any questions, please get in touch.

After nearly 8 years of ownership it is time to part with this very special car. It is in excellent mechanical order and all the essential S1 attention points have been dealt with. The engine is strong, reliable and far more driveable than a stock VHPD. Chrome orange is of course the best colour for an S1! These cars will only appreciate in the coming years and provide a purity of driving experience that can’t be found in anything else with a roof this side of a '73 911 RS.

Modifications are limited to bare essentials for usability and reliability, chiefly engine and suspension. A front-end re-spray was done shortly before my ownership, to clear up stone chipping, but all other areas of the car still have factory original paint. The undersides of the sills show some stone chipping with a scattering elsewhere, plus a few minor marks consistent with age and mileage. There is a small area of damage to the front splitter (collision with garage U-bolt). There are some minor tool marks (no kerbing) on two of the wheels, which also still have factory paint. The suspension arms and other running gear show some weathering but are in good functional order. These aspects of the condition have been factored into the asking price, but any or all of them can be addressed prior to sale subject to price adjustment and a deposit from the buyer.

Otherwise any movement on asking price will result from a buyer being willing to make a quick transaction, since the money is needed for a property investment opportunity and time is pressing.

No canvassers, timewasters or trade enquiries looking for a cheap deal, please.

Sounds nice, but do you really need to mention fookin Porsche in the advert

Old Porsche only, when they were good

They have never been good :lolno:

Now on PH with pictures…

FYI the car is now on sale-or-return with AF Corse, with a price reduction to £24995. A great opportunity for someone to get a great example at a very reasonable price, I think it’s fair to say. Pop along to http://www.afcorse.co.uk if interested.

Lovely car :sunglasses:

Come on Ade!!!

Jacqui doesn’t say much when it comes to my car purchases, but one is, “not yellow or orange” so sadly I am not able to purchase this car :frowning:

Is it still for sale ?

Yes, it is with Adrian Ferdinands at AF Corse, drop him a line if you’re interested, full details on his website http://afcorse.co.uk/

One and all, I have now been made a trade offer on this car that I will be forced to accept by next weekend (22nd/23rd Feb) unless a buyer steps up in that timeframe. Accordingly I’m reducing the asking price down to £21995 and will consider offers. Please get in touch via Adrian if you want to discuss.

Hi Mike

I’ve just send you a PM because I’m seriously interested and keen on buying an S1 again soon.

Unfortunately i couldn’t get Adrian on the phone yesterday, he did send me a message late in the afternoon which i only read this morning
To make a long story short, I’ve owned an S1 Exige until a couple of yrs ago, sold it to a forum member and I’m now looking for one to buy.
I’m in the position to have a look either next Saturday in the afternoon or next Sunday.
Because i’m also in touch with somebody in Surrey who has a similar car for sale, please send me your phone number so i can find out a bit more about your car, preferably today.
I have send a message to Adrian to ask if i could give him a bell today but he hasn’t replied to that.

Regards, Marten

Why all the Orange cars, it is the only colour Jacqui doesn’t like :frowning:

Orange is the best color!!

I wanted an Orange one when I bought mine about 7yrs ago and for over 8months couldn’t bloody find one !!
