Hi guys n gals,
Having acquired Chris A’s white 260 Cup this summer, I’m now selling my much-loved S1. It’s been fun running both for a couple of months, but now I really need to get the money out. I’ll be putting this ad up on PH at the beginning of next week but thought I’d post here first to give the head start to the real enthusiasts! Any questions, please get in touch.

After nearly 8 years of ownership it is time to part with this very special car. It is in excellent mechanical order and all the essential S1 attention points have been dealt with. The engine is strong, reliable and far more driveable than a stock VHPD. Chrome orange is of course the best colour for an S1! These cars will only appreciate in the coming years and provide a purity of driving experience that can’t be found in anything else with a roof this side of a '73 911 RS.
Modifications are limited to bare essentials for usability and reliability, chiefly engine and suspension. A front-end re-spray was done shortly before my ownership, to clear up stone chipping, but all other areas of the car still have factory original paint. The undersides of the sills show some stone chipping with a scattering elsewhere, plus a few minor marks consistent with age and mileage. There is a small area of damage to the front splitter (collision with garage U-bolt). There are some minor tool marks (no kerbing) on two of the wheels, which also still have factory paint. The suspension arms and other running gear show some weathering but are in good functional order. These aspects of the condition have been factored into the asking price, but any or all of them can be addressed prior to sale subject to price adjustment and a deposit from the buyer.
Otherwise any movement on asking price will result from a buyer being willing to make a quick transaction, since the money is needed for a property investment opportunity and time is pressing.
No canvassers, timewasters or trade enquiries looking for a cheap deal, please.
