Christmas/New Year meet

Relatively good news then. Pleased that’s all it is.
Perhaps time for one of these: Trueleo Lotus Products

Buy a trailer Will, save the big bucks for a reliable second project, then its just a question of choice and consumption.

Totally agree, while the sequential gearbox is lovely, it’s bloody expensive. If the Honda gearbox could be mated with the 'yota engine, it would be a great solution to overcome the known and common problems that people have experienced with the std Toyota box.

I think we got 14 Lotus of various types this year - well done Thommo

Three Evora’s too

Even Sherman met a new girlfriend

:sunglasses:

Great turnout guys and good choice of nose bag venue Thommo - Thanks for organising.

Glad your problem is just gear linkage Adrian.

Already got one  hopefully its an easy repair once its up on some ramps and not some AA chap trying to jack it up on the roadside :unamused:

It went at the lights in Kirkby Stephen at 1150, was stuck in 3rd (I think) managed to limp round the corner to a quiet spot. Called the AA who were there by 1235. After the guy had scratched his head, laid on the floor and seen the undertrays, he said ‘I will call for a low loader’. It will be here in 2hrs (3pm ish). So walked into the town centre and had an all day breakfast.

While I was waiting for the low loader spotted Tim in his white evora and Steve in the exige heading home. Managed to flash my lights and had a quick chat with Steve.

Great turn out, just a shame I couldn’t get there, hopefully next time

It was a good do, great to see so many there, Nylocers and all.The Green Dragon was a real find, as I’d never been there before. Thanks all for making the effort…

Great run out and good to see so many people

Had a great run both to and from the Green Dragon (Butter Tubs was epic without any other traffic or sheep). However, I managed to find a little bit of ice on my way back

Great to see such a fantastic turnout of Lotus cars

Superb venue - and the rabbit pie was epic…

Thanks for organising Thommo

Happy new year everyone…

Good to meet up with everyone again, at the best venue yet imo.
Fine weather, characterful pub, and some fantastic roads, always makes for a special day
Never seem to get to chat to everyone, so sorry for that.
And some great pictures that I forgot to take !

Are these a worth while upgrade?

And the AA guy was pretty grumpy, funny watching him trying to look for jacking points.

Yep great venue thommo and the weather was kind to us too.
I will post some pictures later

Yes

and yes he was a miserable git, the low loader driver was much more friendly despite been a Leeds Utd fan

Hmmm might have to look at getting one of these…

Haha what time did you get back to Newcastle then

Thought the venue was great Thommo. Really appreciate they opened up the car park for us and reserved the tables in our own area. If you do speak to them again, let them know we all enjoyed the place. I for one will visit again

Pulled in at 4.45, Paul came back to open up, had the VW Up running with the heater on for me. Oh the 80bhp on the way home was fun

Many thanks chaps for your kind words. I’m not a big organiser( as Mrs Thommo never tires of telling me) so your approval is much appreciated. Mark, I will speak to the Green Dragon again to tell them how much we enjoyed it.
So glad you al enjoyed it. Could have spent a lot more time there to be honest but time was pressing for me!

Well done Thommo for organising such a successful meet up :sunglasses:

Sounds like a repeat would be in order Springtime?

Happy New Year to one & all.

Mr P, you were missed and I am sure you would have enjoyed the gathering.

Sounds like a great meet up. I was with family just north of Birmingham and did look at the map and think hmmmmm…attendance would have made me monumentally unpopular though.

We need to organise our Southern version whilst Pete’s around…
