Try “Ears Motorsport”
Dave got my last set Ian
Cheers
And he’s a few pence cheaper, plus I’d much rather give it to ‘one of us’.
I was gonna try a set of those new Avon jobs,…anyone tried 'em yet???
Adams and Page for 888’s or 048’s as said before I buy all my tyres from Stuart at A&P But he can’t do the Avons. I’ll be trying those in a few weeks. I think we all know by now that they work well, they are pretty much tried and tested in the Elise trophy
I am in need of a set of tyres and was considering the move to the Avons, what spec do I need to look for?
I think so from the track perspective (although Wayne at Essex said they do off a cliff when they start to go off) - but not sure we really have a view of them from a road/track perspective ? From what I heard they should be good - better in wet than 888’s or 48’s and last longer too…
This is a copy of email I received from Chis Askew at Avon a couple of weeks back.
You have a couple of options,
· We can either post the tyres out to you, delivery is £15+VAT per set of 4x tyres
· You can have the tyres fitted here in Melksham arranged by appointment
· You can have the tyres fitted at one of the LoTRDC race weekends, Silverstone is this coming weekend
· Or contact one of our dealers such as BMTR located in Birmingham
Prices for the tyres are:
195/50R16 - £105.00+VAT each
225/45R17 - £135.70+VAT each
Do let me know.
Kind regards

Just had a full set off Dave at Seriouslylotus, good price and arrived next day - free delivery
I’m very happy with that service.
I have one track day left in mine if that, pretty sure i am going to try the Avons. my car eats tyres. when i bought it in October the A048s were as good as new, two track days and 1000 road miles later and they are shot.
