obviously this doesn’t include the 2 larger rear bushes but for 62 I don’t think they know what they are selling as a full set is over 200 normally. Right I will get on with fitting them now…
Thanks for the heads up, I have ordered a set ready for my winter suspension overhaul, I was going to use the nitron spherical joints but these are to cheap to miss.
sorry to hijack the thread
but if the set only consist of 4 bushes
then i do have a compete powerflex set
boxed, never used as i went for a oem set in the end
yours for 175 pounds
I was expecting 4 but 14 turned up, might be best to ring and confirm, they were pretty helpful when communicating despite the poor feedback. Sorry for the delay in responding but I have been fitting them all day into newly sandblasted and painted wishbones.
Dont we think Powerflex bushes are just too soft for a track biased car. Just imagine how much your geometry changes under braking and cornering and acceleration with squidgy bits of rubbery plastic holding your wishbones in place!
Nitron aren’t the only poeple doing rose jointed wishbone kits
These are the same as have been fitted to my race car for the past three years. Where do we think Randy and Nitron got the idea (and bearing specification) from.
They look great Sean, I just use the car on the road too much to be able to maintain a rose jointed set up. Just been for a drive and despite the crappy weather the front end did feel better over the rubber bushes…
Well I just got a response to my question asking if it was 14 or 4 bushes and they have suggested it is a complete set for the car, now I have that if there are not 14 bushes I will send them back.
Ok I think they have checked and changed their minds and realised the error of their ways, they without notice cancelled my order and refunded my paypal, not really worried but now I’m going to get the JS Racing rose joints over the winter instead
Ade have you been in a car with rose joints on the wish bones, i was worried that it would make the car very harsh on the road but i have no experience with them.
Apparently they are not too bad, as my car is turning more into a trackday car, these types of upgrade are making more sense all the time, I am not going to now chase power but weight and cornering stability to give me confidence in my own ability (or lack of).
I must admit i was planing on charge cooling mine this winter but i came away from Oulton really happy with mine except the back end was a bit tail happy which i now hope i have sorted.
So now I’m going to concentrate on the handling and the nut behind the wheel !
