charity event sep 5th...

In aid of 'beating bowel cancer" and macmillan nurses i am organising a ‘sports’ day, 3 legged race, sack race, egg and spoon etc on sat the 5th sept, followed by an evening BBQ with live band and licenced bar 8 till late. The days activity will be held at my mums farmhouse, refreshments and nibbles provided, evening BBQ and raffle at the village hall about 1 mile away. For those that want to drink there is a campsite within stumbling distance of the hall or you can camp at my mums place (15 acres), toilets provided.

On sunday there is a full english breakfast cooked by yours truly, last time we cooked for about 50.

obviously sports would be weather dependent, although drinking games in the marquee would be just as entertaining!!

All monies from the sale of food and raffle will go towards the chosen charities

Tickets for the evening BBQ are 5 each, payable on the door, exiges.com members will get a free raffle ticket with each entry.

Thanks for reading, marc.

Hi Marc

Top idea, & I’m sure it will be a great success!

Unfortunately I probably won’t be able to make it (Dijon LOT Race), but if you pm me your address, I’ll send a donation.

Hey Marc firstly I can’t make it either but it sounds bloody great fun…Good luck mate, hope it goes well!

many thanks to mike (the83man) for donating a pair of tickets to a motorsport event in 2010 for the raffle !! Top bloke

Marc

I will head over too the Butchers tomorrow mate

I’ve changed me plans, & am now hoping to attend this event on Saturday afternoon/night, & going to "See Red " at Donny on Sunday.

Anyone else?

Superb weekend :sunglasses:

Marc & family’s organisational skills/hospitality were appreciated by everyone who attended.

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting a number of fellow petrolheads for the first time (mainly Selocers), & we certainly had a great laugh, booze up etc

I understand that over 1600 was raised to support the nominated charities - fantastic!

Thanks for the invite Marc - hope to make next year’s event, & fingers crossed you’ll get more Exigers there to enjoy it too! :sunglasses:
