I know you S1 boys are going to love this! - so here we go:- Anyone with an S2 had this problem with their CL - electrics ok doors try to lock but don’t with either key or CL safety button in car, if I’m in the car and push the door button down they lock and will unlock using key or button (key locks on the doors are in the correct position) help!!

Alan, I got into my Exige today and exactly the same thing happened. The doors won’t lock with the keyfob. Did you find out what the problem with your car was.

Hi paul, i had this. it ended up being the modulator for the central locking.

Was this an easy thing to fix. Any idea where the modulator is housed?. My nearest dealer is miles away, just trying to see if its something I can diagnose myself.

Hi Paul, i let my specialist do it, they said it wasn’t easy to get at so what they done was just stuck the new modulator on top of the old one, otherwise it would have been a couple of hours labour getting the old one out. I think it was a case of sleeves up, feel for the old one bit of glue and stick. Guess it means i’m now carrying a bit more weight but then again so is my belly

Hi Andy, your fault ended up being the same as mine. Having a new modulator/CDL module fitted soon. Luckily its still under warrenty.
