Central Locking control unit Replacement!!!

Hi everone,
I have to replace the Central Locking Control unit on my Exige. Can anyone tell me how to get to it. The dealer told me the dash needs to come out? Is there a walk through/step by step discription for this job posted on the web?
Can anyone help?

Cheers,
Moley

Someone on MLOC had to do this the other day and apparently it vertually behind the drivers side(on RHD) behind the speaker grill. (pre 2006 dash downgrade)

I think they said it was a full dash out job. Not that hard just lots of screws and fittings in various places.

Sorry i can’t be much more help.

I had to do one in a 111R but due to time didn’t take the dash off & left the old unit in there, I did have the advantage of knowing exactly where the unit is though

If you remove the drivers side speaker panel, then prize the air ducting from its slots & push back into the dash you can just see the wires going into the control unit on the far r/h corner (you may need to pull the foam out of the way). You can then disconnect the multiplug from the module & pull it through the hole where the air ducting was, plug the new one in & push it back into the dash, then pull the ducting back & into it’s slots & refit the speaker panel - took about 30mins in all

But doing that, does it knacker the wiring for the curling tongs? Not that I’m bothered, being follickly challenged, of course!

Thanks for your help everyone. Sorry I didn’t reply before but I’ve been away from my computer for a while. Just picked up the part today and will have a go at doing the job later.
