not much of a poster on here but always looking and i have a question for the experts
i had a de cat put on the exige just after christmas and as expected the engine managment light came on
so i ordered a cel eliminator from jperformance and fitted it but the light did not go away
managed to get rid of it for a bit by plugging in a code reader of my mates and reset it but then after a couple of drives it has come back again??
anyone else had any trouble with this?
someone did tell me to buy another one and piggyback it but i thought i would ask here first
Wayne mapped my car with decat on and CEL in, the MIL came on after a few journeys (having been off due to Zorst & airbox mods…hence fitting the CEL). I removed the CEL (at JSR) on a hunch and cleared the codes. No light, no trouble since. Depending on your mods it may be worth having the car mapped so it runs to its optimum setting…then remove the CEL and clear the codes…it worked for me.
I had this problem after decat, JSR did the electronic fix which didnt work so he got a small part to space the sensor on the exhaust further away from the flow of gasses and touch wood its been good since, not sure but I think johnnyfox has the same?

will try putting an extra space in as my mate has one i can use
then if that does’nt work i might try a re map but was going to get the new 2bular manifold first then just get it maped all at the same time
mods i have are 260 upgrade, TRD, forge intercooler, 8x22 2bular and silenced de cat

Similar spec to mine but no remap …
My mil is permanently on due to other reasons too so its not an issue that concerns me .
