Hi

I am replacing the wishbone bushes with nylatron ones and am trying to get some new castor shims.
I have had prices ranging from �5.43 ea to �3 ea, they just look like penny washers to me so is there any reason I could not use normal washers that are 1.6mm width instead.

No.

I’d recommend getting some big penny washers, make sure they have a zinc corrosion coating to stop them rusting to each other.

Using the big washers makes it better if you have non-standard bushes as it gives them something to snub agaisnt to stop them moving, if you have standard bushes then the small standard washers are fine along with one large snubbing washer.
