Leaving aside a full service and driver instruction, can anyone suggest what my 350 exige “slush” fund might best be spent on ahead of my first track day? The car is completely standard (apart from race seats and full harness belts).
Would, for example, a full geo set-up be worthwhile; uprated brake pads? A night out after the event?
Use it on instruction or save it for your second track day!
I’ve got instruction on the day (and I dare say I’ll need lots more) but I just fancied a bit of a “fettle” so the car will be at its optimum state.
I’d go with braided hoses and some nice new fluid - depending on how long its been in. Last thing you want is the pedal going soft, meaning any confidence you build up during the day gets knocked.
if pads are ok then you may as well use them but bear in mind if they are quite worn they could be shot by mid afternoon.
I’d also buy some colegate whitening toothpaste as you’ll want your smile to be as good as possible as you’ll be showing it off by grinning like a chesire cat for hours afterwards.
Enjoy !
Must say, that’s the direction I was thinking of. Thanks
