captive nuts in clam gone

is that Pesky car u got clive?

The Wright Stuff

Well Ok chaps Yes its P3 SKE . now a different reg…15 years old and 109k miles never a garage queen.

Quite a long term project to get it back to the Chrome Orange standard Sam … but at my age I need a project to keep me out of the way from 'er indoors …she might find some gardening for me to do…NO.

Corrosion in the S1 is the problem for all well used cars …Sam you should have sold “our” car back to me it did not have a spot of Ali Oxide anywhere…!! Strangely the wishbones are generally in much better shape than the ones on my S2…Lotus cut backs??

Seriously what corrosion delaying potion can I use on areas where the anodizing is breached under seats and bits of chassis etc .Duralac is not very attractive.

Jonnyfox’s thread is my inspiration …keep up the good work Johnny.

Enough of this back to the T-Cut

I’m so pleased it’s gone to a good home with a true Exiger who understands “Exigeness”, & not to a “here today, gone tomorrow wannabe”

I completely agree Rob - what a fantastic home for a really special car that’s (almost) as much a part of our community as you are  Well done Clive, I can’t wait to see the car out on circuit!

I am very suprised you sold the car! But good for Clive that he finally back to his S1 ownership!

Sam, a new life in Thailand beckons later this year.

I’ll never get rid of mine, he said. See:

…but I suppose he’s got a good excuse.

   :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Did not we all say this at some time ?
I said it about loads of cars and several girlfriends…but we wont talk about that.

So Clive you got rid of the S2 or kept both?

Both for now !!!

Well done Clive, that’s configuration has gotta be worth its weight in handbags

Tell me about it Ben!!

Now we know what his new enterprise is. >>>>>>

Phuket beach 2013…first customer.

WAY TO GO CLIVE!!!

Fabulous news for all concerned. Thrilled to see this. I love 'Exiges - mad bad middle aged boys )))

Looking fwd to seeing you both later this year. Congrats on both sides

RETURNING to ORIGINAL THREAD::

And here is finished job…string is tied to nut to aid retrieval when I drop it!! and set screw is covered in CopperSlip to ease removal.
Grommet in the access hole and Bobs your auntie !

Lotus would be proud of me.

In my experience, ‘big head’ always leads to ‘special goo’.
