Can I now tax a SORNED car on line?

Guys!

Still in OZ, But back in the UK next week! I have had Shrek Sorned for the last few months… I did this on line using the V?? that DVLA sent me.

My question is can I now ‘un sorn’ the car and tax it on line using the same DVLA.gov.uk/taxdisk website… or do I need to physically go to the Post Office!

More importantly… any track days between June 22nd and July 13th!!!

Cheers,

Pete.

Hi Pete,

You should be able to tax your car on line (i.e. take it off SORN) provided it has a valid UK RTA insurance policy in place (DVLA will check this electronically through the Motor Insurance Database (MID) as part of the on-line process) and a valid MoT (again DVLA will verify this from their own records as part of the process) and the tax disc will be sent to the address on the V5. You will need your V5 number to start the process. See:

Pete, I did mine remote … No problem.
The tax disc gets sent to where your V5 address is …

Thanks guys!

Mike, you sound like you have worked for Dvla with that answer!

Looking fwd to getting Shrek and myself out!
