Can anyone identify this shifter?

I’ve searched far and wide both here and on SELOC but haven’t been able to find any clues as to what this shifter setup is. I purchased from the third owner and there’s no mention of it in any of the records/invoices I was supplied with at the time of sale. I’ve looked fairly thoroughly for any manufacturing stamps and there’s nothing on the shifter/riser. Maybe a limited run garage special from early on? The seller didn’t have a clue, and the previous/2nd owner sale listing (auf Deutsch) just said “track shifter” with no further info. It shifts wonderfully…just curious what I have here.

Also, a bit of a non sequitur but is it normal for the bulkhead panel behind the seats to have the relay/fuse access panel fastened by velcro? Seems unlikely but I feel like with it’s always a possibility with these cars…

Not that I am aware.

There is a immobiliser / alarm unit behind the passenger ( uk ) seat but no relays

Thanks for the quick response. I gather this is a replacement bulkhead panel in that case (pictured between the seats:

Looks exactly the same as mine, so I think that is ‘factory’.

Looks like you have the wrong fuses fitted though…I think it should be a 20A, 3A and two 7.5A fuses

It is normal for the cover on the bulkhead to be held with Velcro, at least mine is. There is a collection of fuses and relays plus ecu lives there.

The OBD connector works, I have a Bluetooth adapter on it and log stuff into Harry’s LapTimer.

The shifter looks like the standard shifter on a nicely made “ramp” to hold it much higher with the stick on backwards. Look at Elise’s parts “sports cables” for images of the oem arrangement.

Argh! S1 not s2! My bad!

Thanks for the info! And great idea – I have a spare OBD BT adapter as well to throw in there after replacing the no-longer-sticking velcro.

I use Harry’s LapTimer and it hooks up to my Bluetooth heart rate monitor as well.

Komotec in Germany sold this piece of art for raising the position of the shift gate. It went end-of-life years ago and I missed to buy one at that time.

Amazing – thank you for the info!

I was to late for the komotec shifter raiser as well.

Wonder if it works without flex.

If anybody want one i got that shifter raiser in my spares

Having never driven another S1 I can’t really compare, but I’ll say I never have trouble finding a gear – it really just clicks between with very positive feedback and no mush. Definitely doesn’t feel as though anything is flexing.
