my car (exige s) is delivered in a few weeks, and although ive exhausted near all the options i have left the calipers alone.
what do you all think… should i:
a) leave them alone (front bare metal, rear black)
b) have them coloured to match car? (380+vat)
c) something else…?
c) - Something else… Buy some heat-proof enamel paint from Chavs-R-Us and DIY. Should be very easy on brand new calipers - it’s removing the brake dust that’s difficult.
Actually, I think they look OK, as long as they’re not done in some outrageous colour like the chavs do. I’ve thought of doing my Elise, but just never got around to it.
I only suggested Halfords because they pander to the chav brigade, and have suitable paints for the heat.
That price seems OK for all that you mention that’s being done, but there isn’t really any need to remove the calipers, refill with fluid and bleed them if you’re happy to sit on the wheel you’ve removed to get to the calipers and do a spot of DIY. Access is pretty easy, and if the back of the caliper isn’t perfect, who cares ?
i was thinking krypton green to match the stripe… if i dont do it the car will be all black - wheels/body except for the stripes… i know ultimately it is pointless, some may say chavish, but i cant help thinking i will regret it if i dont - then again i could always do it later…
